Tips

Hello, and welcome to Forever Fit With Dee. This is Darren Tong and I wanted to share a little of my knowledge in personal training with you. I have several tips you can do on a daily basis to keep yourself healthy and Forever Fit With Dee.

Warming Up
- no equipment needed
jumping jacks, walking/jogging -

The minimal warm-up for any work-out begining with 5 minutes of low intensity activity. The best activities for warming-up are slower, less intense forms of whatever exercise you do for aerobic training.

Arms Training

Concentate on contraction in biceps - don't use back muscles to pull. If you pull using the shoulder, you'll work the posterior deltoid or latissimus dorsi.

Chest Training
Don't lock arms for platform push-up's. Leave a light bend in elbows at the top of the move. Keep head and neck aligned with spine. Do not arch back. This is a good beginner's alternate to the Military Push-up

Additional Tip
If you've mastered a military push-up and want a greater challenge, try a Decline Push-up.
